Seventh Tradition

Tradition Seven:  “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”

OAPP is a collection of telephone, zoom, and in-person meetings that follows the instructions laid out in the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book. We incur on-going expenses to maintain an online presence and to use various automated tools to assist in our Primary Purpose -- which is to carry the message to compulsive eaters who still suffer.

Tradition Seven states that we are self-supporting through our own contributions. OAPP maintains a Treasury funded by our Seventh Tradition contributions which is used to pay our on-going expenses. Any amount collected above and beyond a prudent reserve is forwarded as a donation to OA World Service.

Seventh Tradition contributions may be made electronically via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle.

Send money to traditionseven.oapp@gmail.com.

Your receipt will say that you sent money to DEBORAH NICKSAY. This is correct. Deborah is serving as OAPP Treasurer.

If you are not able to participate electronically and must send a physical check, please contact us at help@oapp.info for instructions. You may also call or text us at 205-295-OAPP (6277).

A Treasurer's Report detailing contributions and expenses is prepared monthly, distributed to OAPP Members, and posted on this website. Click on this link to view current and past Treasurer's Reports. OAPP Treasury Reports
